Our Play Environments

At Innovative Early Learning we offer an exciting and stimulating environment, including a beautiful natural outdoor area. Our outdoor play environment features a purpose built rock river, a fruit and vegetable garden, a large sandpit, natural plants that the children love to take care of, varied climbing, play and sports equipment. We utilise our natural environment to nurture children’s love for nature and to learn further about the Australian animals and environment and the purpose they have in the world.

Our outdoor play environment is accessible and safe, giving the children a chance to view wildlife and explore their surroundings, have nature hunts and play group games. Nature play significantly improves all aspects of child development – physical, cognitive, social and emotional. Playing outdoors grows resilience, self-confidence, initiative, creativity and more. We value the learning that takes place in the outdoor area and our children spend a lot of time in this natural space.

Bilbies Room 0-2 years

In our Nursery room at Kingswood Innovative Early Learning, we aim to provide all of our babies with a safe, loving and comfortable environment which encourages fun, learning and development.

We understand that babies need to build secure attachments for their social and emotional wellbeing and development, our nursery room is a responsive environment with low numbers which allows us to provide high quality and consistent care for the youngest members of our service.  We follow the routine you have in place for your child at home which builds consistency between the home and service environments.

Echidna Room 2-3 years

In our 2-3 year old classroom our toddlers are engaged in multiple experiences throughout the day and benefit from a well-balanced learning programme through hands-on experiences, which encourage creativity and resilience. It is also our goal to participate in the learning journey with young children, to gain knowledge and to support children in appropriate decision making, and to motivate a love of lifelong learning. At Innovative Early Learning, we understand the importance of learning through play and our children are free to lead their own exploration through meaningful learning opportunities which our Educators provide based on children’s interests.

We support this age group as they rapidly expand on so many skills such as vocabulary, social interactions, cognitive concepts, fine and gross motor skills and the huge milestone of toilet training. Utilising our interest-based programming helps excite their curiosity while providing a supportive environment to explore.

We have put careful thought and consideration into the resources we choose for our children and encourage children to develop naturally and at their own pace. Our team of Educators in the toddler room provide a wide range of activities designed to facilitate positive learning outcomes for children.

All of our babies and toddlers have an opportunity to take part in many exciting and varied experiences throughout the day, with a balance of selected and pre-planned activities. There are shared meal times and mat times each day, where children enjoy music and movement, stories and other fun group activities .

Kookaburra Preschool Classroom 3-5 years

The daily routine is semi structured with age-appropriate activities and experiences designed to challenge and expand capabilities and problem-solving skills. While building upon the children’s interests, our Educators ensure children spend their day engaged in meaningful activities that build persistence, perseverance, problem solving skills and creativity. We encourage the children to share their input into what they would like to learn about which gives us an opportunity to focus on many different learning topics throughout the year.

We endeavour to create a balance of both child led and teacher guided experiences by providing different mediums, materials and guidance which supports the children’s learning and extends on necessary knowledge.

As our children approach the big milestone of turning five, they move into our school readiness programme. Our goal is to have our children well prepared and excited to begin their school life. Confidence, self-help skills and an enjoyment of learning is what we like to equip our pre-schoolers with before they leave. Our environment is well resourced and promotes early literacy, STEM and mathematics concepts.

We also have a connection with Kingswood Park School and children who are preparing to go to school next year participate in their orientation day.
