A Typical Day

Routines provide rich opportunities for making children’s competence visible and for celebrating efforts and achievements together, they also give a child a sense of belonging and control over their day and assist in ensuring all children feel safe and secure, at Innovative Early Learning our routines are adapted for each age group based on the individual needs and wants of our children, families and our educators.

All of our classrooms offer a flexible and responsive routine that allows for changes to be made around our children’s daily needs, this is especially important in our nursery room. Our 2-5 year olds enjoy a progressive morning and afternoon tea time where they serve themselves their food and are encouraged to eat when they are hungry, all children are offered sleep and rest times and can request to rest when tired.

All children have opportunities to participate in music and movement, language, art and craft, STEM, gardening and cooking experiences throughout the week on top of their chosen learning topics.
